1. Who we are

PageMind is a Chrome extension that helps you summarize and ask questions about the webpage you are viewing. This policy applies to the extension only, not to other websites or services you visit.

2. Information we collect and use

Content of the webpage you are viewing

When you use PageMind (for example, to get a summary or ask a question), the extension reads the text of the current tab you have open and sends that text to our servers. We use this only to provide the summarization and Q&A features. We do not collect or process content from other tabs or from pages you do not open with PageMind.

Local storage

The extension may store limited data locally in your browser (for example, preferences or settings) using Chrome's storage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers unless necessary to provide the service.

We do not collect your name, email, address, passwords, or other personally identifiable information through the extension. We do not collect your browsing history, and we do not track which sites you visit except as needed to provide the feature on the single page you are using at the time you use PageMind.

3. How we use the information

We use the webpage text you send only to:

• Generate summaries of the page
• Answer your questions about the page
• Provide the chat / Q&A feature

We do not use this data for advertising, to build profiles about you, or for any purpose unrelated to the extension's functionality.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We may use third-party service providers (for example, AI or cloud infrastructure providers) to process the page content you send so we can return summaries and answers. Those providers are only allowed to use the data to provide the service to us and in line with our instructions.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to PageMind's single purpose, and we do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law (e.g. court order or valid legal process) or to protect our or others' rights, safety, or property.

5. Data retention and security

We retain page content only as long as needed to generate the response (e.g. summary or answer). We do not keep a long-term copy of the content of the pages you use with PageMind unless our legal or operational requirements require it, in which case we will describe that in this policy or in a separate notice.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and in our systems.

6. Your choices and rights

• You can stop using the extension at any time and remove it from Chrome; we will not continue to receive new data from you.
• You can clear the extension's local storage via Chrome's extension or storage settings.

7. Children

PageMind is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have received such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
